UCONN ACCEPTANCE PACKAGE
Challenge:
I was challenged to conceptualize and design a university acceptance welcome package. I made the package for any student that was accepted. A challenge I came across was finding a school that either had its brand standards online or let me use them. I had to switch my strategy for choosing a new school. I was responsible to create the box template from scratch, for my design. All digital imagery and photography must be original, not including the university logo.
Solution:
The university I chose to design the acceptance package for was the University of Connecticut, or UConn. I got to use UConn’s brand standards to complete my project. I made a package with a box, an acceptance letter, a freshman packing list, a banner, a t-shirt, an informational packet about UConn, a lanyard, and a pen. I made a clipping mask of pictures around UConn in the word UConn. I went to UConn to take images of well-known buildings and places around campus. This image is amongst all the collateral. It was difficult printing and prototyping the box and all the collateral. There were many trials and errors, but by the end, it all worked out.
