BROOKE’S BUDDIES LLC LOGO DESIGN
Challenge:
I was reached out to design a logo for Brooke's Buddies LLC. Brooke is a dog walker/pet sitting located in Connecticut. She has been involved with animals her whole life, starting out with horses. She mostly takes care of dogs, but she will take care of any animal. Brooke has had her LLC for a little over year and decided now was the time for a logo and branding. Brooke's Buddies LLC's mission is to make people feel comfortable that their pet is in the best hands, giving them a peace of mind where ever they are. My three take aways from our initial client meeting were: 1. Brooke is looking for a bubbly, playful logo that is eye catching. 2. The logo needs to have a dog, a cat, and maybe a third animal. 3. She usually uses navy blue, a lavender/lilac, and pale yellow as her branding colors.
Solution:
As soon as I got the task to design a logo for a dog walking/pet sitting logo, my initial idea was to have the counters of the letters be illustrations of different pets and things that have to do with pets. I designed this logo concept as well as a few others to give her a few different options. Brooke went with my original idea as her logo. I originally had the navy blue as the Brooke's and the lavender as the Buddies, but it was too top heavy, so I switched it. We originally had the LLC in the logo but after looking at it more, Brooke decided to take the LLC out and add the tagline instead. Once the logo was finalized, I designed a pattern with all the animal icons from the logo for Brooke to use as her Facebook header.
