DE COLOUR LOGO
Challenge
This project was to design a logo and business card for a fictitious company. I produced an art supply company called “De Colour.” My company’s initial focus is on paint supplies, but will branch out to include other products as business grows. De Colour offers quality paint at affordable prices.
Solution
The audience for De Colour are painters that want quality paint for an affordable price. I knew that I wanted to have the company logo in black with a pop of color, I also wanted to incorporate some type of art supply to represent the company. Many of my sketches and digital iterations included a paint palette, paint brush, or color wheel in the designs. The design that I moved forward with was De Colour typed with the second “o” in Colour as a color wheel. For the business card, I created a color bar on the right with the logo and contact information on the left. The back of the card is a solid gray background with the color wheel in the center.
